Online Maths and English GCSE Distance Learning

Our online English GCSE gives the student the opportunity to progress to AS level in English Language or English Language literature. 

Acquiring this qualification is natural progress to university degrees related to journalism, law, marketing, business, consultancy, teaching, linguistics, foreign languages, media and many other related disciplines. It's also a prerequisite for some employments in the private and governmental sectors in the UK.

You don't need any previous qualifications to enrol in any of our GCSE courses.

The subscription duration is for 20 months, however, you have the flexibility to finish it earlier. This course requires approx. 500 learning hours.

Below shows a a couple of examples for how to plan the time needed per week for your study:

• For 20 months study plan: you would need 7 learning hours a week for this GCSE subject.

• For 12 months study plan: you would need 11 learning hours a week for this GCSE subject.

1 Explorations in creative reading and writing  

• Reading a literature fiction text in order to consider how established your use narrative and descriptive techniques to capture the interest of readers

• Writing your own creative text, inspired by the topic to demonstrate your narrative and descriptive skills in response to a written prompt, scenario or visual image.

2 Writers’ viewpoints and perspectives  

• Reading two linked sources from different time periods and genres in order to consider how each presents a perspective or viewpoint to influence the reader

• Producing your text to a specified audience, purpose and form in which you give your own perspective on the theme.
