• The main GCSE exams are held in May/June each year.

• Resit exams also take place the following May/June (there is no dedicated resit period in January).

• ​Our online distance learning support for GCSE resit exams offers the entire course through tutorial videos for every chapter section of your textbook. You can watch, hear, and rewind as much as you need, making visual learning the easiest way to grasp concepts without the hassle of lengthy readings!

• Each chapter comes with abundant amount of auto-graded practice questions and end-of-chapter-tests, in addition to tutor support.

• Anyone who wants to improve their grades for university applications, apprenticeships, or job opportunities.

• Some universities may accept students with lower grades, but resitting can help secure a better offer.

You have a few options:

Self-study and register as a private candidate: You can prepare independently and register at an exam centre.

Enrol in a specialist college or online course: Some institutions offer structured resit courses with tutor support.

School/College Resits: May be free or have a small admin fee.

Private Candidates: Exam fees range from £100–£300 per subject or more for certain subjects. However, our students can enjoy 12% exclusive discount should they choose to sit their exams with our partner Tutors & Exams. More information can be found at our Exams and Assessment fees here.
